Sophie Loafie!

I just couldn't resist posting the most recent images of my Sophie.
We have already started thinking about getting her a playmate.
She is just too cute!
Enjoy!

Jillian and Mark 28.1o.2oo6

Jillian and Mark met 9 months ago! Trust me. When you know...you know.

If you can plan a wedding in three months and not tear each others hair out in the process, you are meant to be together!

Langdon Hall was the host to most of the weekends events. A dinner and cocktail party on Friday, getting ready and pictures Saturdays and brunch on Sunday. The ceremony was at Knox church in Galt. The reception was held at Whistle Bear were the food and service was amazing.

Congratulations Jillian and Mark

Jennifer and David 1o.14.2oo6

Jennifer and David were married in the chapel at Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto. It was a very classy affair. Graydon's Gardens were a dream to photograph in, and there wasn't one angle that didn't make a great photograph.

Jennifer and David had such a supportive family and bridal party on their wedding day, it was a joy to watch and document them.

Thank you Jennifer and David for including me in you special day.

Congratulations.

Jill and Daryan 1o.o7.06

Jill and Daryan tied the knot last weekend at Hauser Hall in Hidleburg.

I must say Jill is the younger funkier version of Martha Stewart.
From the photo location they picked, (a hiking trail in the country) to the handfasting ceremony. Every detail had Jill and Daryan all over it.

It was a pleasure to document this creative couples wedding day!

Jill and Daryan Portrait

Jill and Daryan got married this past weekend.
Here are a couple of their engagement portraits.
Enjoy!

Angela+Ryan o9.23.o6

Angela and Ryan were married in Elmira at a local church.

After a short family session in a local park, we headed to Timeless Materials for a relaxed and fun bridal party shoot.

Then onto the Rude Native for a drink and a moment to enjoy the day with their friends.

congratulations Ryan and Angela!

Julie and Mark o9.o9.2oo6

Mark and Julie had the world working against them on the day of their wedding, The Jazz Festival and construction courtesy of the City of guelph anyway.

The Ceremony was at the Goldie Mill and the reception right next door at the Guelph Youth Music Centre. The food was to die for. Who knew a mashed potato bar could be so good!?

With Julie being a graphic designer the attention to detail was amazing.
It was a pleasure to photograph!

Congratulations Mark and Julie!

At least the construction colors matched the bouquet!

Lisa and Remi o2.o9.2oo6

Lisa and Remi were the first to break my no rain on the wedding day rule. But I won't hold it against them. I'm sure there were higher powers involved......like a miss calculating weather man.

With a service at church and a photo session at the School of Architecture in Galt we managed to stay out of the rain. A short stop at Cafe Thirteen for a pint of Guinness and a fun photo session, we were off to the reception at the Aurora Club.

A little fun at Cafe 13 in Galt.

New Family Member at barebonephoto!

Meet Sophie! The newest member of our family. We acquired her after going to "look" at a breeder in Arthur. She is a French Bulldog, and the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Shannon and Jason 26.o8.o6

I don't think I've ever heard so many people say "This is the best wedding I've ever been to!"
And I have to agree with them. A candy buffet, an informal head table, more bridesmaids than grooms men, an amazing attention to detail( Even the water bottles had "Shannon and Jason" on them) made this day completely unique.

Shannon and Jason had already been married a month before so, as Jason said there was "No pressure".

The event took place at the Ben Millar Inn just south of Godrich. The three course meal was amazing and after there was a very laid back receiving line and ice cream cones.

Then the family and bridal party headed back to three cottages they had rented and we did a photo shoot in the orchard near by.

Congratulations Shannon and Jason!

Ashley and Mike o8.19.o6

Ashley and Mike got married on a rainy Saturday afternoon this past weekend. The thing I loved about this couple the most is, nothing could dampen their spirits. They were going to get married out side even if they got soaked in the process. Thankfully they didn't have to dry their clothes after the ceremony. The rain held of for most of the night. A little drizzle wasn't going to get in this family's way of celebrating.

Ashley and Mike's friends offered up their backyard for the event. I couldn't have picked a better location for their wedding myself. With landscaping that took your breath away and property leading right down to the grand river, taking pictures was a breeze.

Here are a selection of images:

"Ok, I'm nervous now the dress is on!"

Cross processing at it's best!
I just love this shot!
Very cool details!

I came home today to this great note from the bride:

Hi Emma,

I just wanted to thank you again for everything that you did on Saturday to help make our day perfect. You made everyone feel so comfortable and relaxed and I know that that is exactly what will come through in the photos. Every time I thought, “oh, I really want a picture of this,” I would turn around and there you were. You did an amazing job and I am so grateful that I had you there.

The pictures on your website are stunning…it is going to kill me to wait 4-6 weeks to see them all.

Thank you so much!

Ashley

Danu and Nick Portrait

Danu and Nick are one cool couple.

I knew I was going have fun with them when Danu stated."I like ironic images!"

Then she went on to say "want my wedding photo's taken on a construction site!" I felt like a kid in a candy store...wheeeeeee!

I have always wanted to shoot in more odd locations. But most brides don't see the romance in a grocery store.

Jennifer and Johnathan June 25th 2006

Jennifer and Johnathan's wedding was held at the Elmhurst Inn and Spa on beautiful and breezy Sunday afternoon. With all their friends and family surrounding them they exchanged their vows over looking the valley. Except for a bit of nerves-Jennifer had smelling salts on hand- everything went of without a hitch. I must admit I even teared up a little during the speeches. I've never seen a couple more meant for each other than these two. It is a true reminder of what love is all about!

Congratulations Jennifer and Johnathan!

Melissa and Robyn June 24th 2006

I was very honored to be able to document Melissa and Robyn's wedding.
They are not only clients but very good friends of mine. We had such a blast.
A photo shoot at Puslinch lake and a night of dancing and great food made for a fantastic evening.

Chris Love performed the ceremony and www.karensmallbone.com supplied the stickers for the favors.

Details. Details. Details.

Robyn's parent's backyard played host to the ceremony and reception.

Puslinch Lake made an amazing background for photo's.

Jen and Jeff June 17th 2006

Jen and Jeff achieved one of the most amazing things when it comes to a wedding. Keeping it intimate. Everyone there could see the tears on Jeff's cheeks and how happy Jen was. The ceremony was sweet and true to thier hearts. They couldn't have asked for better weather. We took pictures while the sunset, very romantic.

I'll post more later.

Congratulation Jen and Jeff!

Sherry And Mark June 3rd 2006

Sherry and Marks wedding day started out windy and raining. With an out door wedding planed it wasn't what they were hoping for. But once again I find myself with a couple that is so easy going that they just waited it out and minutes before the ceremony, the rain stopped.

The ceremony site was a little wet but with the backdrop of the Mill Race nothing could dampen the mood. I was able to grab tons of great shots.

After a quick pint at the Black Badger we went for formal family pictures at Soper Park in Cambridge.

With the rain on the way I thought a perfect place to take some candid shots of the bride and groom would be Southworks Antique Mall. Luckily enough the rain held off and we were able to do the shots outside.

Congratulations Mark and Sherry!

Krista and Mark May 27th 2006

Krista and Mark have to be one of the most prepared and laid back weddings I have ever shot.
When I showed up at the house the bride and brides maids were just relaxing. No last minute running around. I even had time to go to the reception hall before the ceremony to take detail shots. I love shooting all the details.

We went to The Timeless Materials Co. on Northfield Dr. in Waterloo for the "Formal" stuff.
It was so much fun. I love the shots of Mark and Krista with all the old door and columns.

Thank you Krista and Mark for planning such a great day!

Linda and Humberto- May 13th 2006

Linda and Humberto have to have been one of my favorite weddings to shoot to date. A model in another life Linda made the "formal" shots a breeze. Her dress was something out of a Paris runway show. Breathtaking.

With a couple of snags and so much going on around them, I whisked the bride and groom away for their first glass of wine as husband and wife. The Rude Native played perfect hosts to our impromptu private photo shoot.

Leaving at the end of the night was the last thing I wanted to do. But after shooting for 13 hours and trying to coordinate a wedding party of 23, all my body was ready for was sleep.

Here is a peek at some of the 988 shots I took at their wedding.

NEW Website!

I so excited about my new website. It is everything I wanted it to be and more.
I have to thank my brother Richard for the design and long hours he put into the site.
He is amazing and I don't think he hears it enough. He has always supported me in all my artistic endeavors.
Thanks Richard!

This is a picture of me and my brother. He even supported me then.

Another HUGE thanks I would like to send out is to Bill (William) . Without him I would not be where I am today. He has supported me through thick and thin. Even when he yells at me to get off the computer - I know deep down inside he is proud of me and all my hard work. Thankyou Bill for putting up with all my crazy hours and moods. I love you.

This is Bill and I on a hike at the Hockley Valley Resort.

I hope you enjoy the new site as much as I do.
